Pours a dark semi-cloudy copper colour with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is rich in dark fruits and bready malts. Noticeable black cherry and maybe milk choclate on the nose. Taste is full, creamy with a semi sweet creamy texture. Cinnamon and almonds.

Great doppelbock thanks to pfoxyjohn. Pours a clear deep amber brown with a nice head and good lacing. Aromas of sweet malts with a ripe fruitiness and some slight hops. Taste is slightly sweet and nicely malty with a smooth finish including some hops. Nice Doppelbock.

A dark amber to almost brown apperance. The aroma contains some raisin bread with some other dark fruits and chocolate. The flavor contains some plums, cherries, caramel, and maple. Kind of surprised to not see it rated higer. Overall a nice beer.

A pleasing ruby-copper color with a thin but persistant tan head that deposits some light lace. The aroma is somewhat unusual, particularly for the style - I get peaches and brown sugar. A very creamy, smooth and full mouthfeel. The taste is sweet; malty and bready, but a touch of fruit tangyness in there too. More complex that at first taste, the finish stays sweet but gets richer, with fresh warm-muffin flavors of fig and date. This is a great take on the German Doppelbock style. Well-done!
