Turtle Island Dark Honey Brown pours a muddled copper hue with a moderate tan foam cap. Sweet, clean and natural aromas of honeycomb, clover, caramel and cereal grains invite the rich medium bodied deliciousness that follows. Organic honeys, pure maple syrup, brown sugar, refined molasses and toasted nuts with a slight stickiness on the lips and a soft playfulness in the mouth that isn’t cloying or clinging - lingering only for a moment before begging for another taste . Extremely approachable it drinks well on it’s own it would pair well with nuts, soft cheeses, baked breads and BBQ - as the rich sweetness would make it a natural for marinating, brazing and glazing beef, pork or chicken. It hides its 7.5% ABV extremely well – so be warned - as it goes down smooth and quick – and may sneak up on you.

Sampled at the National Capital Craft Brewery Festival '13. Has barely any head, coppery appearance. Roasted malt aromas with a light honey hint. Sweret flavour, nuts, dark fruity hops, raisins and hints of honey. Slight bitter mouthfeel and tingling sensation. A little bit creamy. Light and pretty easy to drink.
