a slightly thinner, fizzier and skunkier version of Tsingtao. Didn't even go well with chinese food. I'll pass from now on, this is chinese macro lager at it's worst.

The description of this sounded like a Chinese Ice Beer Light. And that just sounds wrong. It's a very clear pale golden yellow, with white head (sounds familiar?). The watery taste does have a hint of grainy malt, and a couple of hops (maybe only one hop). No better than the regular Tsingtao

I just picked this new offering up and I don't have high expectations for this brew but I will give it a shot anyway. The aroma as soon as I opened it was a mushroom cloud of skunkiness and when poured into my glass I only smell skunk with maybe some sweet and grainy, as well as malty, overtones under the skunk. The appearance is a very pale golden color with a medium-sized head on top that is white and fuzzy and vanishes quickly with no good head retention. The mouthfeel is light-bodied but very watery with not much malty complexity or hop balance with a palate that is wet but very thin. The flavor is crisp and clean but vegetable-like and not as offensive as Tsingtao original with an aftertaste that is at least palatable and a finish that is watery. Overall, nothing special here and may be possibly a tad better than the original but that is not saying much; I will not visit this brew again in the future and it is a brew that will fade from memory shortly after it is consumed.

Pours a golden yellow ... very fizzy head, almost completely disappears ... smells pretty bad, skunky sweat socks comes to mind .... it is drinkable but i could of gone my whole life without this low end swill, AND it is waaay to expensive! go to hell carlos ruiz!
