With a simple malt bill of American 2-row barley malt and Munich malt, this beer is made to highlight the hops. A combination of Citra, Simcoe and Columbus hops give this beer huge aromas and flavors of grapefruit and pine. While it should land at around 11.5% this strong beer was fermented low to ensure that the hop flavors outweigh the booze.

Tasted on tap at the 12th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/11/2012. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, piney and citrusy. A medium bodied Triple IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. The hops re grapefruity and citrusy. Nicely balanced. Touch of alcohol bite and perhaps a touch crisp/sharp tasting. Nice lingering hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is bitter.
