Our brewing team made this beer in a traditional style in honour of our Co-Founder Dave Fusek's Czech heritage. It pours a deep ruby red, with toasted brown bread and honey-like malt character complemented by spice and pepper flavours from the use of Czech Saaz hops. The term defenestration originates from multiple incidents in history occurring in Prague. In 1419 in particular, seven town officials were thrown from the upper windows of the Town Hall into the square below. From here forward, the action of throwing someone out of a window or a swift dismissal or expulsion (as from a political party or office) became known as defenestration.

Can that pours a clean copper colour with a caramel-golden hue. The bubble-foamy head is warm-beige coloured with decent stay and minimal lacing. Does get hazy at last pour. Darker malt nose with some rye spiciness and mild grassy hops. Pretty much the same for taste with some certain richness. Thankfully, those hops cut the syrupy aspect this sweetness could create. It is not bad, but a little too rich overall to have a full can.
