Can from brewery. Pours a clean copper-ruby colour with a warm beige small head, quickly dissipating with minimal lace. Caramel and molasses aromas with roasted malts. Some dark fruits with something else, I cannot put my nose on. Maybe it is the hops used here, as they seem just a tad off in the taste as well. The rest is quite mild actually. Kind of like a light nut brown ale, so alcohol is well-hidden. Nothing too fancy.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours an average size frothy tan head that dissipates to a nice full coating and has a fairly dark amber appearance. Decent lacing. Aromas of dark malts, notes dried fruits (plums, raisins). Flavours are pretty much similar to aromas with the dried fruit at the forefront, a little bit of caramel, very subtle. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Great retention. Average carbonation. Somewhat sweet in the finish. Good stuff.
