500 ml swing-top bottle bought at the brewery. Poured a clear burgundy-brown coloured Dunkel with a short two fingers dense and beige pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, coffee beans, caramel and a touch of barnyard. The flavour is rich toasted malts, caramel, fruity, nuts and a coffeish bitterness. The mouthfeel is very smooth. This light to medium bodied Dunkel has a dry malty finish. A very pleasant and tasting Dunkel from a tiny and young oberfränkisches brewery.
