A Belgian-style white IPA. White Hops is a nod to Georgia’s forgotten brewing history, taking its name from a mysterious and controversial Atlanta malt beverage sold in 1898. No one knows what the original tasted like, so we used and our imaginations and a Belgian yeast strain to concoct a white IPA, brewed with wheat malt, Citra hops, spices and grapefruit peel. Aromatic and intense, this ale is for hop enthusiasts looking to surpass the ordinary.

A slight standout in a style I really dig. Nice balance between sweet fruit, spices, citrusy hops and buttering, and a touch of tart in the finish. One I could easily drink all day, but had only one :(

Pours a hazy golden with a thick white head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma has a strong overtone of sour citrus, plus yeasty and spicy hints. Grapefruit dominates the flavor but allows hoppy, malty, pear, and subtle spicy notes peek through. Texture is firm, smooth, sour and somewhat fizzy. Go Three Taverns, go Three Taverns, go Three Taverns go!
