On tap at the local Winking Lizard Tavern and served in a nice tulip glass. Not known for overly hopped up beers, I was surprised to see this on the draft menu. Great amber body with a huge sticky head. Toasted malt aroma along with a solid hop scent. Bitter and thick with a strong aftertaste. Flavor contained too much of their house malt characteristic of toffee/caramel along with a hint of butter. Hops were soapy and didn't provide the citrus and pine burst needed to be considered a great IIPA. Good effort, but it falls a touch short and seems crossed between the American and English style characteristics.
