In honor of 175 years of Pulitzer Prize-winning news coverage by the Akron Beacon Journal, Thirsty Dog presents Beacon Brown. Although no nuts are used to make this beer, the English and toasted grains that are used lend a wonderful nutty aroma and flavor to this tasty-drinking 4.4% ABV nut brown ale. Nut brown ales are usually considered "session" beers. Adjusting the nutty malt flavor with just the right amount of hop bitterness for balance adds to the qualities of this ale. English hops also add just a hint of sweet floral aroma.
