Our New England IPA features an intense, tropical fruit-forward hop aroma and flavor and heavily dry-hopped to the point of being hazy. Further it has a fuller body, smoother flavor, and less perceived bitterness than other popular classic IPA examples. The New England IPA style appeared on the national beer consumer radar around 2011. However it was not until after the 2015 Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) Style Guidelines were released that the style really exploded (outside of New England). It has become one of the most sought after styles among hop fans. Part of the craziness surrounding this brew is that it is really meant to be enjoyed as fresh as possible. The hop flavors pop when fresh but subside quickly over the first two months after conditioning. Brewery fresh is best!
