Another experiment gone horribly right. We brewed this spin on a classic style using barley, oats, wheat, rye, corn, rice and spelt! The grains combine into a rather tasty brew that finishes dry and with a light hoppy finish.

Sampled on tap at the Brewery (or is it the Bruery?) on 7/9/2010. This saison pours an orange gold color from the tap. Medium to large sized white foamy head. The aroma is grainy, spicy, fruity and sweet. A medium to full bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, cereal, spicy and grainy. The hops are spicy and floral. Nice carbonation. Crisp and clean. Nice balance. Lots of interesting grain and spice flavors. Slightly dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

on tap at St James Infirmary - pours a hazy golden/amber in color. aroma of some dry fruity yeasts, a touch of rye. flavor is nice, especially as it warms, but i've liked a few multiple grain lagers as much as this one. the grains are showcased, and the "saison" part of the beer, while there, is overshadowed and understated.
