Sampled on 3/2/2012 at the Bruery Tasting Room. This saison pours a clear orange gold color from the tap. Medium to large sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet and slightly spicy. None of the dryness and hoppiness of the bretted version. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a hint of orange,. The hops are herbal and earthy. Lively carbonation. Definitely less dry and spicy that the regular breted version of this beer/ Its more fruity and less spicy with hardly any dryness. Still has a nice saison character, but seems less yeasty as well. Its closer to a Belgian Ale or a triple than a saison. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and slightly sweet.
