Pours opaque, warm coffee brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma of high-quality coffee reaches out and touches you from some distance, and continues to dominate the aroma but lets roast malt, toffee and semi-sweet chocolate plus a snip of molasses come forth as the nose approaches the glass. Flavor is like a quality iced coffee plus roast and slightly smoky malt, semi-sweet chocolate and charred wood along with hints of toffee and molasses. Mouthfeel is firm, viscous and fairly fizzy. Taste the tiger!

While I liked the Euthopia the best of the 4, this my have been my least favorite.....thought they were all pretty close and solid brews. Seems like the difference that I am getting is in the styles of coffee....which is how these variations should be. Sumatra has that darker and bolder flavor. Balance slightly affected by this. Better than the average coffee stout in this style, but wouldn’t really go out of my way.
