Irish eyes will smile on you with this special draft-only release just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! With a rich but light body, roasty aroma, and clean dry finish, this treat is no balogna. And to add to this stout’s charms, it’s meant to be served on nitrogen!

Comes out of the tap looking a lot like a well-poured Guinness - a deep, warm sable with a thick, fine-bubbled tan head that leaves heavy lacing. Robust aroma has notes of quality coffee and caramel with hints of semi-sweet chocolate and horehound. Delightful flavor is very Guinness-like, roast malt and coffee notes plus subtle tones of caramel, molasses, horehound and licorice. Velvety smooth texture has good body and fizz - not quite as good as Guinness, but still firm. Well done, Terrapin.

I had this beer at Beamer's in Roanoke, VA. This was a nice beer. It was a nice dry stout - fluffy mouthfeel, roasted malts, decent hop presence. In the end, however, I think I'd rather have a Guinness or a Murphy's.

An enjoyable beer for the style, some nice chocolate flavors, but on the thinner side. Sort of expected for an Irish stout, but have had better. Buddy from GA brought a growler down, otherwise may not have tried this for a while. Probably would be better fresh on tap vs. a few days later sealed in a bottle.
