Stronger version of regular Tennents, but it's taste is a little more bitter than ordinary Tennents and for me that's not good. Actually tried it on holiday in Germany, they had it at a local beer festival. (Hence the Euro price and 500mL quantity)

The beer pours a translucent medium gold colour with absolutely no head. The aroma is cereal grains, weak floral hops, and acidic notes. The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with average carbonation. The beer lacks flavour. There are notes of weak grains, weak hops, and some phenolic notes. Not good at all. -

Wholely average in every respect.... and that's about what I was expecting (working my my expectation management skills). Having said that, it wasn't bad, it just lacked any standout qualities. Pale to medium gold with a smallish white head with a hint of funk in the aroma and on the pallette.

Bottle, bought in Norway at Vinmonopolet. Pale lager. Simply called "Tennent's" here, but the ABV (5%) tells me it's not the British standard Tennent's Lager, so it must be the Extra. An ordinary lager, easily drinkable without too much of anything. However, I won't buy it again of two reasons: a) In Norway, the price is twice that of domestic lagers / pilsener, while the beer isn't that much better (well, it's 0,3 - 0,5% stronger). b): When in Scotland, I will most certainly prefer a good Scottish ale to any lager!
