The flash of this spinnerbait stimulates the senses with its sweet malty currents and deep red hues. Our BA reels with fruity esters and spicy notes from the Ardennes yeast which swirl through the Belgian rock candy, casting the perfect presentation for the hops to set the hook on this big boy.

Pours translucent mahogany with a fairly thick, if not persistent, light tan head. Malty aroma has yeasty overtone and earthy and horehound hints. Flavor starts with toasty malt and adds subtle caramel, horehound, and even hoppy hints to the mix. Body is firm, if not too fizzy. Take this bait!

Had this one on 3/30/15 A dark mahogany colored beer with a big light tan head sudsy textured head rising above. There's great hang time on the head and a thick low lying film and ringlet are left. A lot of malt in the nose. An earthy, nutty balances the sweet bready malt in the tasting. Moderate smooth body.

I was expecting something like a hoppy red ale, but tastes and feels like an amber. Label says "Belgian Red Ale". I didn't know it was only 25 IBU, so maybe I'll have to try a real Belgian Red to compare. A light red to amber appearance with flavors of light caramel malt, yeast, and water. Not really much else going on here.
