First beer we brewed after longstanding pause, when was brewery closed. Originally Münchner dark comes from the first half of 19 th century. Our dark Sv. Norbert has little bit dry flavour and is more bitter than Münchner dark. All-malt, well hopped beer, in flavour expresses as münchner, caramel and roast malt. Served all the year round.

Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Draught at the brewpub/restaurant at the monastery. Dark brown, nearly black colour. Thick creamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, some leather, hints of treacle. Solid flavour of roasted malts and coffee, notes of dark bitter chocolate. Reminds me of a Baltic porter. Dry bitter aftertaste from the roastiness and hops. A very good beer - good enough to make me go back the next day for more! By the way - the brewery restaurant serves decent food too.

Docené, on tap at the brewpub in Praha. Poured a deep brown nearly black colored beer with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a superb retention. The aroma is strong roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate and coffeish. The flavour is grainy roasted malt, herbal hops, dark chocolate, coffee, notes of licorice. The mouthfeel is first bitter and then quite watery. This medium to full bodied beer has a lingering roasted/burned end. A nice and very tasty Czech Pivo !

Draught. Very deep ruby red colour, big beige creamy/bubbly head. Lots of lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some toffee and mildly rubbery notes. Flavour is very roasted malts, some toffee, licorice and mild herbal notes. Longlasting roasted aftertaste.
