Brewer Damian McConn gives the Pale Ales of the Victorian era a modern twist by making our first beer with 100% organic malts. This unfiltered ale offers up pear, apricot and spicy orange aroma, pronounced hop bitterness and bready malt flavor. The Summit Unchained Series gives our brewers free rein to create any beer style they want. To reinvent obscure traditional brews. To choose the finest, rarest and (gulp) spendiest ingredients. The result? Small batches. Huge flavor.

The bar has been set pretty high for Summit's unchained series and this one doesn't quite live up to my expectations. Enjoyable but kind of plain. Then again, English pale ales and IPAs aren't all that exciting normally.

Grab this on a whim and was surprised on how much I enjoyed it. Nice gold pour with a small white head. Clean smell of hops, malt, and citrus. Refreshing beer, would definitely buy again.

Not suprisingly, I enjoyed yet another Unchained brew from Summit. On tap at the Alchemy, pours a bright golden colour with a little white head. Nice fresh aroma, lots of carbonation. Clean, hops, citrus notes and soft malt. I wouldn't mind havign a few more of these.
