The aim of this experimental, hop-centric series is to demonstrate just how dramatically a single hop can impact a beer. We’re going to periodically fire off a variety of single-hopped variations of this IPA for some good brewing fun! Empty the bright tank with one. Reload it with another batch. Rinse. Reload. Repeat. We invite you to enjoy along with us.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

Rated April 2018. 12oz bottle pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up strawberry, plum, pink grapefruit and a mild earthiness. The taste delivers somewhat juicy berry and hints of strawberry as well as some bitter pink grapefruit, floral hops and some thin earthy tea. Decent but not the Simcoe hop characteristics I was expecting.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Pours clear copper with a thick and rather frothy beige head. Aroma presents piney hops riding undertones of tangy citrus and raw malt. Flavor echoes the aroma nicely but with more malt and woody character. Mouthfeel delivers fair body, peppy fizz, and a woody finish. Now let's shoot for the others.
