Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Rated Sept. 2014. Poured up on cask at the Stone World Bistro where is has a murky opaque deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a nice tight cask nuanced off white head. The mild aroma offers up some spicy hops, floral hops, pineapple, mango and then a thin berry thing going on too. The taste is cask conditioned smoothness delivering pineapple, tangelo, grapefruit and a crisp spicy almost onion like note. In the background I get some peach and apricot like fruity notes that rise up to the point of being noticed only until the resiny hop bitterness surges forward helping take this into the finish. Pretty solid brew.
