While the size of the boot might be a bit small, the intensity of the hop flavor and aroma in Size 7 more than makes up for it. We take prodigious amounts of hops and add them any chance we get to this Northwest style IPA. If you ever call Size 7 balanced we’ll kick you where it hurts (in the hop sack).

Pours almost a dark neon yellow with a one finger white head that lofts for a while. Clear with a little cloud in it. Nice carbonation. Aroma is very hoppy but not as strong as the pine like you would normally smell in it. Also a hint of fruit in the nose. Mouth feel is thick and chewy. taste is fairly strong with hints of light pine, hops, and light fruit. For an IPA it is one of the best balanced beers I have ever had. Nice price to boot. Awesome beer.

This is a great West Coast style IPA brewed in the Midwest. Typical orange/amber color with a foamy white head. Huge citrus and pine hop bomb with just a hint of caramel malt. Great lingering bitterness. I wish Steel Toe would put this in 12 oz bottles and expand distribution to Moorhead--this would definitely be a regular in my fridge.
