Comes out of the growler opaque chocolate brown with a thick and frothy tan head. Roast malt aroma has notes of cinnamon, pumpkin, and caramel. Flavor has pleasing malt, pumpkin, spice, and subtle caramel notes - a joy to drink! Texture is firm and smooth, if not too fizzy. Box one up - and leave the car at home, please.

I had this beer at Buffalo Wild Wings in Tanglewood, VA. This beer wasn't bad. In fact, it was one of the better beers that I had that evening. The beer is dark, has a classic porter base, and is well hopped - the pumpkin adds a gourdy element, not a spicy one. This beer is well done.

A black colored beer with a small light tan head that rises briefly. A moderate ringlet and some film are left. In profile, this one is interesting but bot a better than average spiced ale. Cloves are dominate in the nose. Cloves, cinnamon and an odd bitterness from roasty malt are on the palate. A little to light and not well carbonated for my preferences. But, again, it's okay.
