    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in a Bavarian Seidla a gushing, clear and burgundy-brown coloured Doppelbock with a one finger beige foamy head that had a short retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is caramel and toasted malts, toffees, candied fruits, plums, raisins and spicy with a touch of licorice. The flavour is caramel and toasted malts, riped dark fruits, plums, raisins, berries, dried fruits, walnuts and flowery, violets. The mouthfeel is fulled, a bit sticky and quite thick. The texture is watery. This medium bodied Doppelbock has a dry malty, alcoholic and fruity finish. The afertaste brings the expected warming effect. A solid Doppelbock, from the famous small city of Buttenheim, in Upper Franconia.
