This full bodied, dark golden ale is brewed with a larger proportion of hops and malt to give it a rich, malty taste and clean, bitter finish. Traditionally brewed to handle the long trip from England to India by sail and then steam, this beer is certain to please those looking for something a bit “bigger.”

Draws light amber/copper with a two-finger head. Fresh - always a plus. Light to medium bodied with all of the requisite characteristics of a good, honest IPA, but no stand-out qualities. Crisp, lightly bitter finish.

Sampled at GABF on 9/18/2010. This IPA pours a light gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of floral hops. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and floral. Decent carbonation. More in the English style of IPA, although there is a lot of hop bite at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A brilliant copper color with a moderate off-white head. Bold nose of fruity hops. Assertive hop flavor with a solid malt foundation. Nothing special, but not bad. MUSIC: 'Simple' by Okay

A good but uninteresting IPA. Some odd malty mouthfeel that felt rather unfamiliar, but a good assertive hopping, reckless bitterness and blancing malt. One of their better beers so far and it certainly warrants another pint.
