500 ml capped bottle. Poured an unfiltered and opaque dark-dark-brown, almost black, coloured Stout with half a finger tan foamy head that had a short retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is roasted malts, roasted coffee beans and a spicy touch, licorice. The flavour is roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, cocoa powder and spicy, licorice. This medium to full bodied Stout had a long coffeish and bitter finish. Surely an unusual brew for the well estabished Bavarian Brewery, close to the Czech boarder, in the Bayerisches Wald, but ... a Good one !
