Smell is somewhat malty and sweet. Appearance is clear dark brown with no gunk on the bottom of the bottle, must be filtered. No carbonation on the palate, nearly flat. Strong alky taste and pretty malty bitter. Difficult to enjoy for a lager lover. Alky content is very present in the flavor. Bitter lingering medicine finish.

35,5cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Hoppy and malty aroma with caramel and some fruity notes. Sweet, malty and a bit fruity with a nice and bitter finish with hints of spices and pine. Sweet, but well balanced. Quite delicious beer for the cold months up north.

Courtesy of sebletitje. Thanks Sebastian. Pours deep to light copper with thin white head. The aroma is a mixed bag of crystal malts, grainy malts and fruity esters coming from cherries, sweet raisins and prunes. The taste has multiple levels of maltiness with roasted malts, graininess, moderately roasted malts and sweet malts. Much more malty than suggested in the nose. I get notes of apricots, raisins and cherries off in the background.

Dark copper-brown color with a faint tan ring ring of a head. Virtuallu no lacing. Ripened fruit, molasses, light hoppiness and toffee with a mildly antiseptic hint of alcohol. Definitely a cold weather beer.

Flat dark brown pour, tan ring, little lacing. Ripe fruits, molasses, very earthy hops, toffee, slight booze, very warming. Mellows as it warms. Sipper, good for a cold winter night.

Pours a dark copper color with a smaller white head with fair retention. Smells of dark malt and not much else. Tastes of caramelized malt and faint floral hop presence. Is a lighter body than expected, and has good carbonation.

I dunno.... Not one of my favorite styles, but I could see a better rating if into Old Ales. Just seemed a little above average across the board. Medium brown-redish appearance....or mahogany a better way to describe it. Caramel malt with some oaky flavors. Too sweet for my preference. Thinkin' I am about over these winter ales this season, and sticking with the darker porters and stouts.

Pours a dark amber with a decent sized fluffy white head. Well carbonated, plenty of bubbles. Aroma seems very bitter, kinda reminds me of an IPA. Detect hops and spices on the nose. Taste is not to shabby, hints of hops along with a little spice. Taste reminds me of a very very mellow IPA. Finishes off slightly dry and creamy. Overall this beer is not to shabby. Nice sipping brew.

Dark copper color with minimal white head. Aroma contains some caramel, toffee, cherries. Flavor is rather sweet with some molasses, nutmeg, caramel, and citrus. Some booze present in the finish. Overall a pretty good beer.

A brightly deep amber colored ale with a medium sized, foamy textured, light beige head. Settles fairly quickly, leaving a robust soapy film and thin ringlet. The nose is lighter than the tasting. Sugar, some pine in the nose. The pine hops are most dominate in the tasting with light backdrop of caramel. The body is light to medium with a decent amount of carbonation and some smoothness. A real thirst quencher.
