“Bottle Conditioned Sparkling Ale Brewed with Rose Hips” We rely on age-old tools in the brewery despite being surrounded by high technology. As a sort of compass, we use the six pointed brewer’s star to help navigate uncharted brews. The cardinal directions of water, malt, grain, yeast, hops and brewer make the baseline. From there, anything goes. Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination. Hazy golden colour brew with a white creamy head, good retention and lots of lacing. Fruity grain aromas with some oranges, light tropical fruits and very mild grass. Very well-hidden alcohol, so smooth. Flavours of mildly sweet fruits with light sugars. The cereal grains are really in the background and some nice mild bitterness is left in the finish. A very nice refreshing strong ale. Very well-balanced. 9.0 ABV. Really ??

Pours a rather large foamy white head and has a fairly clear golden appearance. Patchy lacing. Aromas of citrus hops, wheats, fruits. Flavours are also quite fruity, a bit of spices in the mix. Mainly citrus and resin hops. Some notes of wheats and yeast. Somewhat lively carbonation. Tingling sensation. Pretty good. Alcohol is well hidden.

The beer pours a translucent medium gold colour with a half inch white head. The aroma is light fruit, caramel, and spices. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is light citrus, weak caramel, spice, and sharp sweetness to finish. -

A hazy yellow colored beer with a big frothy textured white head rising briefly above. A moderate ringlet and persistent cap are left behind. A Doughy, sugary, with tangerine, tropical fruit and rose petal nose. More of the same in a light tasting. Crisp effervescent and refreshing.

Light bright golden pour with a bubbly tall white head and some chunks of lacing. Fruity dry aroma and flavor, apples, honeysuckle, sweet oranges, and peppercorns in both the nose and taste, smooth mouthfeel yet spicy. Interesting mesh of flavors that works fairly well. Not sure which way the Compass is guiding me on this one, but it is tasty.

Pours a pretty clear solar yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mainly fruity - pear plus some apple and a hint of banana - with malty and yeasty underpinnings. Fruity, malty flavor has a sharp alcohol note and hints of banana and yeast. Firm texture is fizzy and sharp, leaving a persistent tingle that you feel all the way down. Say, I think there is a touch of woody hops in there, and maybe a bit of rose hips in the flavor after taking another test sip. Avoid sea serpents? After a couple bottles of this, you'll be seeing serpents!
