Not a big fan of light beers, but this one wasn't all that bad. It has a paler gold colour than a lot of light beers and that certainly isn't a plus. The aroma is grainy malt with a tad hint of hops. The flavour is weakly malty. Not as watered down as a Coors Light.

Pours a crystal-clear pale yellow from the bottle, the first of several Smoky Mtn brews courtesy of bluesandbarbq. There is no retention or lacing from the light white head. Faint malt aroma and a smooth mouthfeel that is fuller than expected. A pleasant, if light, flavor of pale malt with low hop bitterness and a decent flavorful finish. More flavor and a fuller texture than most lights but still lacking, as the style dictates. MUSIC: 'Number One' by Lightspeed Champion

This is better than most lights that I have sampled. Good color and aroma. Above average taste for a light and pleasing with any meal I've had while drinking this light.

Very disappointing for a micro-brewery. Maybe they were just attempting to appeal to the masses. In their own description it as much as says so: "Refreshing taste and low in calories and carbohydrates." I should have known better. Compares well with Miller Lite, Bud Lite etc. No further review necessary, in my opinion.
