Poured a 1 finger brown bubbly head with an extremely dark appearance, very much pitch black. Aromas of roasted malts, nuts and some chocolate. Flavours are mostly dark chocolate and dark roasted malts with coffee and notes of caramel. Lacing is ok. Medium retention. Has a creamy bitter mouthfeel, lots of cocoa and coffee notes on the finish. But about halfway through, mouthfeel became a bit more watery. Still very tasty!

Very nice. Pours black as black gets with a low brown head that dissipates quickly. Smoke and coffee dominate the nose. Mouth is full. Flavor is terrific, gobs of expected coffee, chocolate, and more.

Pours a black colour with no highlights coming through. Beautiful creamy big head that is brown, not beige, with great retention and thick lacing. Full coffee, molasses and chocolate nose with notes of burnt wood. Smooth mouthfeel, medium-bodied, with no traces of alcohol. Wow... very well-balanced taste with a little sweetness and some nice bitterness. Coffee flavour with the roasted malt, a touch of vanilla and a little smoke. Very well-brewed and I would buy some more of this any day.

Bottle: Poured a deep pitch-black color stout with a large deep brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep black chocolate with a nice dose of espresso and some lightly bitter roasted malt. Taste is a very well balanced mix between some roasted malt with light dry notes and huge flavors of black chocolate and espresso – the balance between flavor is very impressive. Body is full with great creamy texture and good carbonation and no alcohol was apparent. I must admit to being quite surprised by this – very enjoyable without being too extreme.
