Absolutely No Worries, it's a mantra which has carried alt-J through world tours and festival headline sets alike and now becomes the name of the band's limited edition beer. Never a band to follow convention the 6.5% ABV beer takes the form of a Brut IPA, brewed in collaboration with East London's Signature Brew (SIBA Brewery of the Year 2018). A fittingly pioneering and modern style, Brut IPAs are currently making waves on America's west coast and the variety was specifically selected by the band for its refreshing, sparkling and dry qualities – a nod to their go-to tour tipple, gin and tonic. It seems only right then, that the light-bodied beer is finished with a hint of botanicals, including juniper berries and coriander seeds. Absolutely No Worries is a boundary-pushing beer for a boundary-pushing band and is available in all good bars and online from early September. Keyboard and vocalist Gus Unger-Hamilton explains, "Something has been bubbling away between us and Signature Brew for the last few months, and today we are excited to announce our (very) drinkable collaboration: Absolutely No Worries, a brut IPA inspired both by our cocktail of choice and our very choice sound engineer. "Brewed with citra hops, coriander seeds and juniper berries, this refreshing ale is reminiscent of that very alt-J drink, the gin and tonic. And adorning the can is Lance, our front of house engineer and friend since 2012, a man who has been with us through thick and thin and who isn't afraid of the occasional IPA. We love him, we love this beer and we can't wait for our grown-up fans to try it."
