This big oatmeal stout is midnight black in color-with a big roasty, mocha-like aroma. It has a silky body from the use of rolled oats, and a round and lasting finish. Perfect as an after-dinner treat.

Black pour with a deep brown head and lots of carbonation. Not much on the nose, perhaps a hint of black patent and roasted barley. Nice thick mouthfeel accompany a silky body, very smooth and thick. Flavors of dark chocolate and cream that finish with a bitterness that works well. Nice brew, particularly for a cold winter night.

Best selection from the beer camp variety pack. A bit like their 30th anniversary ale (Ken & Fritz I think). Hearty balance of oatmeal, chocolate, coffee, and enough hops to offset the sweetness. Very drinkable too for 9%. I wish that they had a 6 or 4-pack of this only. Would make it so much easier!

that whisker biscuit's got teeth!! .. . deep brown .. medium foam .. light coffee roast, burnt caramel, and light Kahlua booze .. . decent mouth, good dose of alcohol .. . pretty good, maybe a year it will get better? .. . . not the first time she went down that day..

This was nothing near what would have expected from SN. This was not as sweet as id like for to have been. There were nice tones of cream and a smoothness i could believe but the overall flavor was almost like a big foor which didnt go down all that smooth. It did pack a punch though.

Very dark brown opaque body with a foamy tan head and thick lacing. Medium bodied, not as rich or chewy as a beer of this magnitude should be. Fruity and sweet with a lingering bitterness. Roasted malt, coffee, doughnuts, hops, caramel, hops, a hint of chocolate, and more hops. Too clean with an abundance of citrus hops to maintain with the bigger stouts that fall within this range. Very solid, but left me wanting something heartier.

The last and best beer of my Beer Camp 12-pack. Thick, black pour but with a quickly disappearing mocha head. Thick and creamy mouthfeel with notes of mocha and roasted malts in aroma and taste with a pleasantly bitter finish. Hard to believe this is 9%--the alcohol is so well hidden. Definitely a great beer!

SN continues to impress. This inky brew is dominated by mocha aromas and flavor, with a nice roastiness, and a little dark fruit and hops coming out a little more as it warms. Super flavorful and smooth. No hint of 9% when cold, and only a hint when warmer. An absolutely delicious brew - maybe my favorite beer camp brew in either release, and I loved the India ink.
