Very excited to try this, though the jury is out on barrel aging IPAs. Generally, not an improvement, though I really enjoyed the uniquness of, say, BA Ruination. This one was vanilla, booze, and fruity hops on the nose. Nice color, smooth. The flavor seems a bit confused. Faded hops mixing with sweet bourbon, some bitterness and fruit but it tails off, even becoming a touch watery. Overall, really cool to try, but a way more expensive yet not as good as the base beer experiment.
