12oz bottle from Harmons
Pours clear dark golden with a small white head, no lacing. Mild aroma of citrus and ginger. Flavors of red grapefruit and ginger
A little thin but clean and tasty.Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5
Bottle: Poured a golden clear with carbonated bubble head that dissipated fast. Aroma is sweet citrus fruit. Taste is thin watery with citrus fruit and grainy finish.

Extremely low carbonation, light maple in color.Aroma of fruits (maybe the grapefruit?) really tart in the finish- with the ginger spice as a kicker. Overall, i liked this beer.

Golden yellow, no head remaining. Grapefruit aroma and taste present, but not overwhelming. Fresh crisp taste. Somehow I cannot appreciate the beers brewed by Shiner. (Dallas 201505)

Pours a pretty clear, slightly reddish amber - no head, but that must have been an artifact of the pour. Malty aroma has a dusty tone, like powdered fruit drink. Malty flavor has a fruity undertone, apple and cherry with a hint of pear, and a subtle sour undertone. Texture has about average body and fizz. I didn’t seem to get any grapefruit, but this is a tasty and distinctive beer. Let it fly down your throat.

I like IPAs that smell and taste like grapefruit so when I saw a non-IPA brewed with grapefruit, I had to try it. Weird how a beer with no grapefruit (many IPAs) can taste more like grapefruit than one made with it. Still pretty enjoyable as a light, refreshing summer beer but I just wish there was more of a grapefruit kick to it.

It pours a solid golden color without head nor lacing. An aroma of grainy malts, citrus fruits, and some pepper and spice. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, bread and yeast, bitterness, and light spices. It's okay .. flavor isn't too bad.

Glad I sampled a single first before buying a 6-pack. I wouldn't say it's a bad beer, just thought it would be a little better based on the reviews. Not sure if an old bottle, but the smell was actually one of the worst aromas. Hard to describe, but like a musty wet dog smell. Was a little afraid after that of what I would taste, but the flavor is halfway decent. Not overwhelming of grapefruit, and has a base similar to some of their other brews. A decent summer beer actually, just not really my style.

A dull amber colored beer. Not much of a head. What was there was foamy, white. It settles fairly quickly leaving no discernable lacing. Grapefruit in nose and tasting. Nice, but not something I'd try and again.

Three things i am not fond of (in no particular order) grapefruit, ginger, and most beer from Shiner. As you might expect i was very leery about this stuff, but i gotta admit i was completely wrong. The body isnt much with a light to mid copper color, lots of carbonation, but the head was very thin and fizzy, and didnt leave much lace. Aromas of sweet citrus, ginger and malt. The flavor started with the grapefruit and the ginger came in quickly, the finish was a slight grapefruit bitterness. I like how the flavors werent overwhelming, but complimentary, a nicely balanced beer, and its certainly worth a try.
