    Nice dark in color, lots of nice carbonation.Roasty aroma,medium bodied. Flavors or roasted grains, and notes of molasses come through in the taste. I liked it, and bottle is nice .

    Bottled (thanks B.U., tasted at CS/ES 2nd beerevening). Very deep brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized creamy beige head. Aroma is mild roasted malts, some coffee and mild dark fruits. Flavour is being quite much the same along with some slight burnt wooden notes.

    Never underestimate the power of the Schwarze..Why is that stuck in my head? Well, I felt the power when I poured it. Black as a soul full of hate, strong as the resolve to purge it. But wait, this is just a beer! BUt it's a conjurer in disguise! Nothing sissy about this. Beautiful dark head crowns this pour like the halo of a fallen angel... and I'm falling into it's lair. down to the depths of my own depravity I fall. my darkest thoughts remember ..yesss, I feel it..Quick! an angelic wheat, before I'm lost forever. Enough of this roasted malt evil in a bottle. Drink at your own risk. :)

    500 ml "Bügelflasche" (swingtop bottle), at Die Kleine Bierstube, Aarhus. ABV was 4.9%. Very dark ruby colour, nearly black. Big to moderate beige head. Moderate but nice aroma of brown bread and dark malts. The flavour is smooth and malty but not too sweet, with a very subtle roastiness. Low bitterness. Easy drinking.

    This black beer was all over the place. Aroma was intriging with notes of molasses and grain. Not bad I thought. Appearance was near perfect for a schwarzbier, just black as midnight. Mouthfeel I thought was way too thin. Flavor was just alright with a roastyness that was appealing, but given the way it looked and smelled this should have been a grand slam. In the end, it's a double off the wall. Not bad, but could have been soooo much better.
