This is likely the most complex, controversial and thought-provoking single-fruit mead Schramm’s has ever made. Aronia berries are a wild fruit native to the eastern United States. The flavor impact starts with unmistakably earthy notes of topsoil and grass clippings drenched in honey, and evolving into rich dark chocolate, a host of purple berries and currants, molasses and maple syrup, and finishing with firm but not unyielding tannins. Our Aronia Berry mead is a uniquely delicious and mesmerizing beverage
