Schooner's White Wheat (Witbier) utilizes Belgian yeast, both sweet and bitter orange peel, coriander, and ginger to produce a beer that's pleasantly spiced. The spicey aroma and strong citrus notes combine with the dry finish to produce a beer that is highly drinkable.

Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This wit poured a hazy fizzy yellow color from the bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is yeasty, fruity, lemony and spicy. A light to medium bodied wit. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are spicy. A nice crisp and clean wit. Lots of lemon peel and coriander. Crisp and clean. A nice light and refreshing beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Schooners headbrewer Craig brought a growler of this to our most recent tasting. Having him tell us about brewing the beer while drinking it is just so damned cool. The beer poured out a opaque, canary yellow color with a two-finger thick head. A nose of coriander, lemons and orange peel greet the nose. Wheat plays a prominent role in the flavor of this beer with some orange peel and coriander creeping in behind it. Solid, easy drinking wit.
