Taps bubbly, slightly hazy golden with a thick pale buff head. Aroma presents a strong note of coconut riding malty and fruity tones. Flavor features a definite piña colada note plus fresh malt and a hint of hops. Mouthfeel delivers decent body, not a lot of fizz. Go coconuts for Big Rod.

This is an interesting one. Has a light red or amber appearance. Flavor is a little funky up front. Strong coconut, but sort of seems too sweet or artificially. All I could think it "suntan lotion". Got used to it after a few sips, and helps to enhance the bland and mild flavors that most blondes have. Something different to try for summer beer, but not really something I'd look for in the future.

Had this one at Mellow Mushroom with a sausage hoogie. A dull golden colored beer with a two finger fluffy texturd white head. There was some hang time in the head retention. Settles into a moderate ringlet. The nose and tasting are dominated by sweet coconut with a boozy vanilla flavoring. Certainly very different, and once past the surprise it wasn;t bad at all. Good carbonation, crispness.
