Schlitz’s formula recalls the original hearty taste of the classic 1960’s Schlitz - a true Pilsner, perfectly balanced between full-flavor and easy drinking, with just "a kiss of the hops." So, if you want to experience the gusto again, crack open a cold classic, and taste the world’s second best selling beer of the 1960’s.

drank straight from bottle during a summer BBQ,. light tasting some sweet maltiness with little after taste at all . certainly nothing to write home about but OK if offered when for free.

Had this at the PAMdemonium Mensa gathering. Aroma is weak but one does get a hint of malt. It pours a typical clear yellow with an unremarkable white head. Flavor, though, is better than I expected - strong, malty and just a little fruity. Body leaves something to be desired, but not the fizz. Overall, not bad for an industrial lager.

Good quality swill, and heads above the old which was the newer Schlitz that is now old since the old is now the new. Clear golden body with a solid white head and spotty lacing. Clean and dry with a slight malty sweetness. Very similar to Straub, I will never decline this beer when offered to me.

been wanting to see what was up with this, i guess americans in the 60's also had no clue.. . yellow, decent foam .. . light bitterness, light grain and corn, decent .. . sessionable, and not too off-putting and definitely better than the garbage pail regular version .. . stupid lumber! the hell with this!! stupid dog house!!
