Born from the mind of Monty Bertin, (winner of this years Mighty Mustache competition at The Only Café and holder of the coveted Golden Cant Hook Award) this malty masterpiece is a mash-up of a Belgian Brown and an Irish Red Ale. It's a Belgo-Irish Brownish Ale. Belgian upfront with some nice spice though the middle, it all comes together in a in a sweet, malty, nutty finish.

Enjoyed at the Brothers Beer Bistro. Pours a clean amber-brown colour with a creamy off-white very long lasting head and small patchy lace. Coffee nose with red amber ale fruity malt aromas. Wet mouthfeel with some light dryness in the finish. Medium-bodied. Hop is present in the taste, giving notes of mint and other herbs. Coffee, caramel and mild roasted malts are in the background. Nutty hints as well. Wow ! Head is still up at the end, and thick. A beautiful brew that has interesting flavours.

Bottle at Brothers Beer Bistro. Pours a foamy beige head and has a dark amber appearance. The head is very persistent as it stuck around pretty much till the end. Nice dirty lacing. Aromas are resin and earthy hops and a bit of malts. Flavours have some spices and notes of resin hops as well as light roasted malts and chocolates. Almost seems like some amarillo hops or even simcoe, hard to distinguish. Also some notes of coriander. Slick and oily mouthfeel. Not too bad!
