Barrel Aged imperial saison with Brett Aromas of tropical fruit, mild oak barrel and big barnyard funk lead into a deeply complex beer. A confounding mixture of tropical hops, deep funk flavours and dry, slightly tart finish make this 10% imperial saison dangerously drinkable. Limited to 2000 bottles.

Picked up a bottle at the brewer, vintage 2016, 2000 bottle limited edition. Pours a massive frothy white head and has a clear golden appearance with excessive carbonation. Some thick dirty lacing remains. Aromas of berries, yeast, some wheaty notes and a bit of floral hops. Flavours are also loaded with berries, quite fruity overall, some tarty notes, notes of yeast and wheat. Notes of brett yeast are noticeable and not too overpowering as in other brett type brews. Some nice hop bitterness, not too offensive. Also some subtle sourness on the palate.
