Deep within the heart of the Irish lies an uncanny passion for what they call "leann dubh", or black ale. Saranac Irish Style Stout is a lavish beer blended with dark malts to create a coffee like taste. Look for a roasted character that is surprisingly smooth and refreshing, pint after pint. Cheers!

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7
This beer poured a pitch black color with a beige head. The aroma contains some roasted coffee beans and charcoal. The flavor is extremely dry and bitter with some coffee and marshmallows The finish is rather harsh and dry. Overall this was a pretty good beer, just nothing I could sit and drink all day.
