Made with local, native blackberries. Aged with Hungarian oak, giving this mead brilliant notes of vanillin, roasted coffee and light black pepper characters.

Pours a beautiful ruby-mahogany, calling for a sip. Ueasty aroma has a definite note of blackberry. I LOVE blackberries! And yes, a note of maple syrup. (Go Maple Leafs!) flavor has delightful blackberry and maple flavors, quite sweet but not yucky-sweet. Smooth, fairly firm texture leaves a fruity and slightly sour finish. I feel the need - the need for MEAD!
