pours a medium gold with an orange tint, has a short white head that fades quickly and doesnt leave much lace on the glass. The aroma is of caramel, honey, spice and hops. The taste is very sweet with flavors of honey and spice. The mouthfeel is crisp and smooth with a light-to-medium body, light carbonation with a clean finish. Given that this beer has been retired and replaced as the Sam Adams spring release by the White Ale, I can help but compare the two, even though they are from completely different styles. While this is a decent beer, I prefer the White Ale.

a bit lighter than what i usually go for, even in spring or summer, and i prefer Sam Adams Summer Ale to this one. Not bad, but pretty one dimensional light toasted malt, a hint of citrus hops.

Outside of the SA winter ale, probably my favorite of the seasonal brew. Has a nice hoppy flavor that is not as harsh as the winter brew but not as sweet as the summer. A nice brew.

There's not really too much to the beers appearance. It's slightly brownish orange with a thin head. The aroma is nice. It's a little sweet and has definite notes of citrus and vanilla. The flavor is similiar to the aroma with citrus being followed by sweet vanilla. The flavor is light, but good for the season. Pleasant beer.

Golden Color, small head. A Kolsch style mild ale, not a lot of hoppyness, malt flavor prominent. Nice clean beer.

Nce and light like the others of the style. Those who drink this want to pretend that they have more sophistication than those who order BMC. There is so little character here that I have trouble finding a proper descriptions.

Nothing special. Another overated beer from an overrated brewery.

This is crisp and refreshing and very good. The aroma is excellent with some spice and sweetness. The appearance is slightly dark with a small head. The mouthfeel is light and refreshing. The flavor is satisfying and better than some of the other SA's. Sam Adams always have good beer and this is no exception.

Golden, light-bodied and topped with a medium white head and a little bit of lacing. Fruity aroma and flavor with only a little bit of hops to it. I was a little disappointed but it's plenty refreshing to get the job done.
