Our version of the traditional German Kolsch style is fragrant and complex. The Alsation hop we chose imparts a subtle citrus note. Jasmine Sambac, a night blooming Southeast Asian flower, adds a delicate floral aroma and flavor to this layered and refreshing brew. Cheers!

Enjoyable beer on a warm summer day. Nothing in particular stood out as far as mouthfeel and appearance but the flavor was quite complex. I will have to purchase this again.

Pours a golden color. Smell is sweet and malty. Taste is malts, bready, some sweetness, a touch of hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing summertime beer.

Aroma is not strong, but invites with malt and hints of good hops. It pours a typical but still appetizing amber with an average whitish head. Flavor has a malty core and hints of hops, caramel and cloves. Texture has average body but lots of fizz. A good refreshing summer beer.

Not one of the better sammys. Kind of just eh. Appearance is on the pale yellow side. Comparing it to Harpoon's Summer Beer/Kolsch which has a richer color and flavor. Some sweet grainy flavors, but the bitter is not quite balanced against that. Mouthfeel is the best trait here, which compliments the summer season. Trying to stay away from SA Summer Beers from now on, but wanted to try this and the Belgian Saison (which is much better btw).

Not bad! Not a style I usually care for, but the floral citrus aspects brought on by the jasmine are quite nice. Otherwise a fairly non descript light beer. Nice for summer.

Golden color with a white head. Aroma contains citrus and apricots. Flavor is a bit dry with some grassy notes but also some malty notes. Some sour notes in the finish. Overall SA does a good job screw the haters.

This came out of the summer sampler and was by far the best of the bunch. Would rather have this as their summer seasonal than their summer brew. Nice white head on the pour, smell is biscuity and fruit with some spice. Flavor is somewhat hoppy and sweet. Nice and refreshing; could drink a few of these.

Pours like a light beer with a decent head on it. Tastes like a higher end light beer. Full flavored for what it is. Average brew and drinkable. May have again.

On tap @ Barleys in Knoxville: Light clear golden yellow pour with an ample but short-lived white head and good lacing. Slight floral scent with some bread dough, light spices, lightly fruity. Taste is also lightly floral and bready with a hint of spices and apples, then a nice clean finish.
