Médaille d'Or au " World Beer Championships " à Chicago en 1998. Fourquet d'Argent à Saint Nicolas de Port ( France ) en 2001.

Bottled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with purple hints with a low creamy off-white foam. Rich fruity and balanced aroma of dark cherries, berries, almonds, wood and mild spices. Medium-bodied with notes of almond-paste, sweet licorice, tart cherry-skins and dates. Long fruity finish of over-riped cherries, tobacco, almonds and dates. Nice one!

Bottle. Dark ruby colour, small foamy head. Caramellish fruity/berryish aroma with hints of ginseng (or similar). Flavour wuite the same, fruits, berries, some malts and also a sting of alcohol. Somekind of ginsengic hints also in aftertaste.

2000 vintage, sampled 03/2004 - clear dark brown colour, few foam with big bubbles, strong caramel and licorice aroma, candy sugar, very sweet with a medium body, the finish is malty, slightly dry and perfumy

Opaque, dark brown colour with a slim beige head. Excellent, roasted malt, sweet and fruity aroma. Sweet and dark fruity taste, with liquorice and a herby medicinal edge. Medium bodied with a nice sweet and sour finish. Good.
