500 ml capped bottle, as " Rosen Schwarzbier " and a 4,8% ABV, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Rosen Seidla a clear and mahogany - red copper coloured Dunkel with a two fingers beige, creamy, dense and fine foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is solid roasted malts, caramel, notes of ashes and hay. The flavour is roasted malts, caramel, dried fruits, walnuts and faint herbal hops. The mouthfeel is light crispy, a bit sweety and quite smooth. This light bodied Dunkel has a dry roasted malts and light bitter finish. A quite pleasant and easy drinkable beer from Thürigen. Its choosen name is not getting very well with this Dunkel. In fact, it's never a Schwarzbier ( the caramel don't belong to the style ). It's really a Dunkel.
