Pours clear amber with a thick and frothy eggshell head. Malty aroma has a decided overtone of sweet lemon. Yes, sweet lemon. Flavor has lemon, hoppy, malty, and subtle sugary notes; it is more sour and bitter than sweet, and rather enjoyable. Finish echoes the sweet lemon of the aroma. Texture is nothing remarkable, but certainly in acceptable range. I have not been overwhelmed by the Voodoo Doughnut series, but have found them all to be palatable at the very least. Keep at it, Rogue.

Always glad to try a new Voodoo brew from Rogue. Love lemon chiffon pies, but even a bigger fan of crullers at the donut shop. Some sour notes in the aromas reminding me of raspberries at first, but turning into the lemon side of things. Reminds me of a shandy. Same for taste. Hazy golden colour with an amber hue. Warm cap with some medium creamy lacing. Silky oily mouthfeel. The lemon in the taste has a sharp hop/alcohol punch, so not as pleasant, but this is where you get the crueller (more of the grainy malts). In the finish. Not as apparent, but quite interesting overall.

The colour of the bottle should have put me off, but no. The price definitely should have put me off, again no. What has put me off is the sickly aroma and flavour of this beer. Appearance sucks too. I think this beer is going down the sink. This stuff is crap.

Pours a big foamy off-white head that dissipates to a nice thin layer and has a slightyl hazy amber appearance. Ok lacing. Aromas are quite perfumy with the lemony notes at the forefront. Flavours are very sweet with tons of lemony notes, some vanilla and a bit of sugar. The taste is somewhat akin to a lemon meringue pie, no kidding. Lots of notes of yeast, malts, and earthy type hops. Pretty smooth and slick mouthfeel. Goes down fairly good. This is not a constant chugger, that's for sure. The 750ml bottle is perfect for sharing as a tall glass is well enough. Pretty good though.

The beer pours a very hazy golden orange with a generous off-white head that takes a couple of minutes to settle into a quarter inch cap. The aroma is a lemon jelly doughnut.with some spices, yeast, and grains. Too much doughnut, not enough beer. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sickly sweet lemon custard, some metallic grainy notes, and a hint of yeast. I will not buy again!
