Pours out a nice clear brown color with no head. The aroma is definitely of cinnamon. The mouthfeel is thick with just a little fizz. The flavor is all malt and molasses on the front of the tongue and cinnamon on the roof of the mouth. I'd have to say the cinnamon has a lingering taste.

Blues and kinger are right on and I hate to be redundant. It does have some applesauce flavor in it too, but mainly cinnomon Christmas cookie. Finishes bitter and spicey. Much more like what I would expect Christmas to taste like vs. some other winter beers.

Courtesy of the Buckeye Beer Man, kinger: Pours a slightly murky ruby copper with a tight but short creamy head, not much lacing. Big cinnamon aroma, then the molasses, like a Christmas cookie, big nose. Taste is spiced forward too with the cinnamon and spices in the forefront, then toffee and molasses sweetness, and not much bitter going on. Still a good dessert or after dinner beer. Thanks Cory! (Didn't read kinger's review until 01/30/2012 - looks like we see eye-to-eye on this beer!)

Perhaps my new favorite Winter spiced brew. Spectacular showcase of cinnamon and a great call leaving the ginger out. Pours a ruby copper color with a diminishing head and spotty lacing. Smells like a Christmas cookie. Creamy with doughnuts and/or cake and a wonderful cinnamon and brown sugar mixture. Could use a thicker base, but it's also dangerously drinkable. Fantastic for what it is and stands out in an overplayed style that typically doesn't do much for me. Well done Rivertown, keep it up!
