Eine süsse Verführung is meist keine schnelle Angelegenheit. Dulcis 12 reift in seiner zweiten Gärung ebenso lange.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Hazy golden to orange colour. In the aroma pleasant and spicy notes of Belgian ale yeast collide with some less pleasant hints of vomit. Quite sweet and distinctly spicy flavour, hints of ripe bananas and cloves. Warming mouthfeel.

660 ml capped bottle. Poured in a Belgian chalice an unclear and amber-orange-copper coloured A D with a minimum light beige foamy head that had a quite long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is strong wheat malts, sweety candied sugar, spicy notes, cloves, orange peels. The flavour is sweety malts, caramel, candied sugar, honey, spicy, cloves, fruity, oranges, herbal notes and overall alcoholic. The mouthfeel is light crispy, fulled, syrupy and alcoholic. The texture is oily. This full bodied A D has a long long malty, alcoholic and sticky finish. For a German brew , a quite unusual and proud 11 % ABV, this is courageous Begian " Dubbel " try but even not a Belgian Abbey Dubbel.
